Wrapping up a really long day. I' brought on 3 web designers to help our hosted clients, and they're keeping me busy. Hope everyone is well.

It looks ok so far, I've connected to my GTalk through iChat, but it looks like I can't send a Shout, can I reply when one arrives, or is it really just for notification?

I initially got the "IM account appears to be offline" but I followed the instruction and sent the message "start" to activate it.

The question now is how long might I have to wait before a new shout comes up, and see if it shows in my iChat.

@Ian no you can't reply... it's only for notification purposes! I asked the same question earlier.

I know this is off topic, but I was wondering if there ar future plans to implement adding friends on the Rejaw iPhone app? Pretty much clicking somebody's profile and hitting a button to follow them.

Ian, sometimes there are short and intermittent lags/unavailability, but notification should be sent in a few seconds after you receive a new message.

i'm still having issues with digsby... it did seem to be working for a short time yesterday, but it's back to saying that the IM client seems to be offline....

Yeah sorry. As you see, the Rejaw bot is offline in your buddy list. IMified, the service we use for IM, is planning a major update in a few weeks, so we see this kind of instability more often. I hope it'll be fixed after the update.

    You should support SMS notification.

SMS notification won't happen outside the US for free - Twitter have proven that to not be viable.

Well it's not "free" in the US either- just low enough cost to be subsidized by their venture capital.

But SMS is the only way to tight people on this service. Or people will use Twitter.

SMS costs, 2O ¢ in the US, when it's suppose to cost, 1 ¢ Bull Shit.

Wholesale cost on SMS starts at around 2.5c. It goes down a bit as volume goes up, but not too much.

Rejaw does not need native Twitter support support to entice the mobile market as Twitter did. Take advantage of email-sms gateways.

I never used the SMS stuff in twitter even when it was available. It seemed superfluous to me.
